I crocheted this vest from alpaca I had spun . It is worked up and down from a central horizontal panel - a design I contrived from several patterns I liked. Then I knitted the hat from some of the leftover wool. The photograph flatters neither me nor the vest!

Bag made from handwoven recycled sari silk, with hand dyed silk warp.
I made this large one and then several small ones as phone/ipod bags - but these all sold quickly at our recent exhibition, before I remembered to photograph them.

2009:
I didn't think I had done much in 2009 until I looked at what I have just put up here. And that doesn't count the stuff I have already given away before I got round to photographing it, and the stuff I have started and then discarded or pulled undone because I didn't like the way it was going. And I have not photographed and put up the many skeins of spinning I did. May be it wasn't a bad year after all!

I rescued a couple of mustard check blankets from Sean's place when I was cleaning it out. Too good to throw out, but too old to give to Vinnies. So I cut one into strips and wove a floor rug ot of it!

This white wool floor rug has patterned ends. I made it with the leftover warp from the fibonacci rug.

I used a fibonacci sequence to create the colour proportions in this rug I wove for Bill's floor.

I made this basket from pine needles we collected from a tree outide Hans Heysen's house when we were in SA.

This is a silk vest I crocheted for my daughter - it is made from "granny squares".

Rug from the squares we all wove.

The squares we all wove as a group project over a year ago - finally cut, shaped, edged and put together as a rug. There were many days involved just in crocheting the edges! But I am pleased with the finished result. The rug measures about 120 cm X 150cm

another wall hanging - 120 X 60 cm. Running out of walls though....

2009 and beyond

It is not that I have been lazy over the past year or so - just a lot of other things keep getting in the way. And I have made more than I put up here because I keep forgetting to photograph things before I give them away! But here are a few recent items I have made
